Meet the team: Evelina, project manager

Today we are talking to Evelina Kirliova, PMP, one of our senior project managers. She’s been with the team since 2022 and now works with our enterprise clients in Europe and USA.

In this series we are talking to the people behind Raketa. Ev is one of our Project Managers. She helps teams stay on the same page and makes sure projects keep moving in the right direction. Before joining Raketa, Ev spent over 10 years working as a copywriter in advertising and collaborating with marketing teams. This helps her understand what goes into a website beyond the development itself, from content and messaging to the needs of the people who will manage and use it.

How would you describe your role at Raketa without using your official job title?

I’m the bridge between our clients and the dev team - helping everyone stay on the same page, setting priorities, and making sure things keep moving. I also know our product well, so I help shape and improve it based on what our clients need.

Your background is originally in advertising. How does that experience shape how you work today?

Advertising taught me to start with the audience, not the idea. In my role here, I bring that exact same mindset - understanding who we’re building for and what they actually need.

AI is everywhere right now. How is it influencing how you work, and what’s your hot take on it?

AI has become a powerful thinking partner for me. It helps me explore ideas, challenge my thinking, and get to a good starting point much faster - especially with prototyping.

But I’m also a bit concerned by how often we hear “my bot found this” or “my bot says that.” AI is incredibly useful, but it shouldn’t become the decision-maker. I think it’s great to lean on it, as long as we still use our own judgment.

Which of Raketa’s core values feels most like “you”?

The balance between being adaptable and reliable. Things don’t always go exactly as planned, and I like being able to adjust, find practical solutions, and keep moving forward while making sure people can still count on the outcome.

How do you recharge outside of work?

I love climbing — both indoors and on the rocks, hiking, walking, reading books, and listening to my Discover Weekly on Spotify.
